Elder Marquis Jones

Ordained Minister

Marquis (MJ) Jones is a committed Ordained Elder, mentor, author, community advocate, and photographer located in Atlanta, Georgia. He possesses a distinctive ability to capture moments that convey profound narratives, whether through photography or personal experiences. Through his wisdom and insights, he aims to effect meaningful changes within his local community and the wider world, promoting positive transformations within the realm of community service.

MJ holds a deep commitment to ministry, where he thoughtfully utilizes his talents and compassion to serve others. His mission encompasses uplifting those who are struggling, providing support to the hurt, and promoting healing for the broken. He actively engages in this calling through photography, writing, outreach efforts, and by inspiring volunteers to extend aid to those in need.

In 2016, he established a nonprofit ministry called B3 – Blessed to Be a Blessing. Starting with just five volunteers, B3 has rapidly expanded to over 100 members under his decisive leadership. Every first Friday of the month, B3 takes action by ministering to individuals experiencing homelessness in Clayton and Fulton Counties.

B3 has successfully provided over 10,000 meals and delivered clothing, food, and housing assistance to countless individuals in need. Through his relentless efforts with B3, MJ has opened a food pantry and a clothing closet in South Georgia, and he has proactively organized outreach opportunities in Macon, Georgia, and Tampa, Florida.

Through dynamic workshops, impactful conferences, and hands-on mentoring, he has transformed the lives of countless men, women, and children across the country. Committed to making a real difference rather than seeking applause, he has authored three influential books: "Whispers from the Father," "Freely Given," and "Lessons from the Teacher."

MJ inspires others never to settle and to pursue greatness relentlessly. He embodies the qualities of an actual role model, shattering stereotypes and overcoming obstacles. His life's work is unwaveringly dedicated to his mission: to uplift the fallen, empower the hurting, and heal the broken—one individual at a time.
